Dr. Lisa D. Griffin Brings Exceptional Expertise to Mark Twain Medical Center

SAN ANDREAS, CA –October 10, 2023 – Dignity Health Mark Twain Medical Center is delighted to announce the newest addition to its medical team, Dr. Lisa D. Griffin, M.D., Ph.D. With an impressive professional journey and extensive background in neurology, Dr. Griffin is set to make significant contributions to the healthcare landscape in our community. 

Dr. Griffin's professional journey spans several institutions, showcasing her commitment to excellence and patient care. Her experience includes roles at University of California, San Francisco, Stanford University Medical School, Peninsula Neurological Associates, and The Permanente Medical Group. Her current position as a Physician at Mark Twain Medical Center is a testament to her dedication to providing top-notch medical services.

Educationally, Dr. Griffin is a proud alumna of the University of California, San Francisco, where she completed her residency in Neurology and mentored fellowship in Child Neurology. She earned her M.D. and a Ph.D. in Human and Molecular Genetics at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Griffin's commitment to advancing medical knowledge is evident through her postdoctoral research fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco.

Dr. Griffin holds a California Medical Licensure since 1994 and is certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology since 1999, showcasing her commitment to maintaining the highest standards in patient care. An active member of various professional organizations, Dr. Griffin has been involved with the American Medical Association, American Academy of Neurology, Association of California Neurologists, California Medical Association, and the San Francisco Neurological Society. 

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Griffin was ]\an ad-hoc reviewer for multiple national and international genetics and neuroscience journals, emphasizing her dedication to advancing medical research and knowledge.
