Graduate Medical Education (GME) Office




Since 2021, Dr. Oakes has served as the Designated Institutional Official (DIO) for our Graduate Medical Education (GME) residency and fellowship programs. She initially joined our team in 2017 as the inaugural Emergency Medicine Residency Program Director.  Dr. Oakes attended SUNY Upstate in Syracuse, NY for medical school, Beth Israel Deaconess/Harvard in Boston, MA for her emergency medicine residency and Emory University in Atlanta, GA for her medical toxicology fellowship.  

Under Dr. Oakes' exceptional leadership, the department has grown significantly, now encompassing ten residency and four fellowship programs. Her commitment and foresight are evident in her dedication to training and cultivating proficient and compassionate physicians. As our department continues to expand we anticipate adding many more programs. Dr. Oakes is committed to serving the healthcare needs of the Stockton community through the training of our resident and fellow physicians.
