Dignity Health Connected Living Announces New Board Members

REDDING, Calif. (Sept. 29, 2023) – Dignity Health Connected Living announces three new members whose terms will begin October 1, 2023. Dignity Health Connected Living is a lifeline to thousands of seniors and community members in Northern California. We provide a variety of programs for seniors, including case management services, volunteer opportunities, nutrition services and transportation. Our services support seniors living independently as they age.

Jake Mangas has been the president and Chief Executive Officer of the Redding (CA) Chamber of Commerce and its Forward Redding Foundation since January of 2016. Over his 7 years leading the Chamber, Jake has re-energized the organization and grown its impact in the community. He has developed a reputation as a trusted, inclusive community leader. In addition to being the founding Chairman of the Board for College & Career Options, Inc., Jake is a current Board Member of the Western Association of Chamber Executives (W.A.C.E.), and is an active member of various local workforce development collaborative.

Marianne Seifert moved to Redding in 1996, where she began her career as the social services director in a local rehabilitation center. In 1999, Marianne founded Marianne’s Senior Placement Services, a service that helps the elderly population in Redding. In 2019, Marianne published The Senior Source, a resource directory for seniors and their families. Marianne is also involved in her community, serving as co-chair of the Older Adult Policy Council (OAPC). The OAPC raises money for “Power to Seniors” a program that helps seniors pay their utility bills, if they are facing a shut-off notice. Marianne is also a committee member for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, Shining Care’s fundraising events and the Purple City Alliance Campaign, which brings awareness to prevent elder abuse.

A.J. Anderson grew up in Redding and is so proud to call Redding his home. He graduated from Shasta High School and went on to graduate from the University of Oregon. A.J. received his Master’s in Elementary Education in Southern California and started his teaching career as a general education teacher. In 2008 he moved home to Redding as a Resource Specialist Teacher in the Redding School District before moving into administration where he was a Principal for ten years at both Juniper School (2 years) and Turtle Bay School (8 years). A.J. is dedicated to improving the lives of the children and families in our community.

Mangas, Seifert and Anderson will join Board Chairperson, Stephan Hosler; Board Vice Chairperson Rodger Page; Board Secretary, Charlotte Haisch; and Board Members: Steve Craft, Judith Menoher, Ellie Kissick, Elaine Kavanaugh, Sister Brenda O'Keeffe, Robert Lowes and Joe Ayer.
