Dignity Health Mercy San Juan Medical Center Welcomes New President & CEO Austin Manning
SACRAMENTO, CALIF., JULY 17, 2025 — Dignity Health announced today that Austin Manning has been selected to serve as the new President & CEO of Mercy San Juan Medical Center, effective July 14. Manning succeeds Michael Korpiel, who announced his retirement earlier this year.
Most recently, Manning served as Chief Executive Officer of Timpanogos Regional Hospital in Orem, Utah. During his tenure, the hospital expanded key services, including women’s health, neonatal care, cardiovascular surgery, and pediatrics. Under his leadership, the hospital experienced growth in patient volume and operational performance, and he introduced new initiatives to strengthen employee engagement and workplace culture.
“It’s an honor to join Mercy San Juan Medical Center and become part of a hospital and organization with such a strong commitment to care, service and compassion,” said Manning. “I look forward to working alongside the exceptional team of providers and staff who are deeply committed to patients and the community. Together, we will continue to build on Mercy San Juan’s nearly 60 year legacy of providing high-quality care.”
Prior to his time at Timpanogos Regional, Manning held Chief Operating Officer roles at Los Robles Health System in Thousand Oaks and Timpanogos Regional, and also served as Vice President of Operations at OU Medical System in Oklahoma City. He holds a Master of Healthcare Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Manning also serves on the American Heart Association’s Executive Leadership Team.
“Austin brings a deep commitment to quality, innovation, and team development,” said Dr. Tina Johnson, President of Dignity Health’s Greater Sacramento Market. “We are excited to welcome him to Mercy San Juan and look forward to his leadership.”
