Volunteer at Mercy Hospital of Folsom

The Mercy Hospital of Folsom Volunteers are exceptional in providing care and services to hospital patients, families, and visitors. Volunteers work in a variety of services and are valued members of the hospital team!

We believe that just one person can make a profound difference in the lives of others. That's a belief shared by our volunteers - ordinary people who reach beyond themselves to help those in need. Every day, our volunteers bring a caring touch to our patients, hospital staff and to people throughout the community.

Benefits

Volunteering is one of the most rewarding ways to help your community. Satisfaction comes from knowing that you make a difference in our patients, family members and hospital staff. As a volunteer, you may learn new skills in addition to discovering good friends and associates.

Qualifications

Our volunteers include teens, college students, working adults, and retirees. The purpose of serving is to extend extra non-clinical care and compassion to all people who enter our doors.

The onboarding process consists of an interview, background check, health clearance, and volunteer orientation.

Training

Each volunteer receives an orientation to Mercy Hospital of Folsom, its mission, goals and departments. Specific-on-the-job training is given to volunteers until they are comfortable with their assignments.
