CME

Continuing Medical Education (CME) at California Hospital Medical Center is committed to the process of professional performance improvement and enhanced patient care and safety.

Dignity Health and California Hospital dedicate resources to:

  • Delivering compassionate, high-quality, affordable health services
  • Serving and advocating for our sisters and brothers who are poor and disenfranchised
  • Partnering with others in the community to improve the quality of life

To that end, the Office of CME works to develop high-quality educational activities that:

  • Enhance clinician knowledge and competence, and/or clinical performance
  • Promote lifelong learning
  • Bridge practice-based learning and improvement
  • Are free from commercial bias
  • Address gaps in knowledge, quality or performance
  • Disseminate evidence-based knowledge and skills
  • Employ educational methods that are suitable for the content, topic and target audience

The ultimate goal is to ensure “best-practice” always, which will result in improved patient care and health outcomes.
