Healthier Living - Live Longer. Live Healthier. Live Happier.

Healthier Living is a six-week evidence-based program developed by Stanford University School of Medicine. The program focuses on helping you gain practical skills to become better informed and more involved in your care. Workshops start several times throughout the year. Each workshop runs for 2.5 hours each week over a period of 6 weeks.

The program is best suited for anyone with a chronic condition such as diabetes, arthritis, hypertension or high blood pressure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), heart disease, or ANY other chronic health condition. Participating in the sessions will not conflict with your existing medical care or treatment. We encourage and welcome your caregivers and family members to attend as well.

  • How to create weekly action plans for daily living
  • Medication do’s and don’ts
  • Exercise and fitness
  • Relaxation and de-stressing techniques
  • How to deal with negative emotions
  • Techniques for interrupting the “Symptom Cycle”
  • Nutrition tips for eating well
  • Effective communication, problem solving and decision making skills

Sessions are 2.5 hours each, and are held at various community locations through the Community Benefit Department. Please contact our team for current workshop information. 

Light refreshments are offered and all participants who complete the series receive:
