Kevin Brady, MD, is a cardiovascular and thoracic surgeon and serves as Chair of the Cardiovascular Surgery Department and Surgical Director of Mechanical Circulatory Support at the Center for Advanced Heart Disease at St Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center.
Dr. Brady has special interest in mechanical circulatory support and advanced heart failure treatment. Dr. Brady has longstanding expertise in transcatheter aortic and mitral valve replacement. He is one of the busiest surgeons performing off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting. In addition, he has extensive experience and interest in mitral valve repairs as well as surgical treatment of aortic and aortic valve pathology. Dr. Brady works closely with the lung transplant team to assist with concominent lung transplant and cardiac surgical procedures.
Dr. Brady has been a well-respected member of the Phoenix Valley’s medical community for more than a decade and a Phoenix Magazine “Top Doc” since 2004. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery.
Dr. Brady earned his medical degree from the Emory University, Atlanta and completed general surgery at Emory University. He then received cardiothoracic training at University of Louisville, Louisville.
Dr. Brady is a current member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons and International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation. Dr. Brady’s current research studies include the Pivotal TAVR trial (ongoing), Repair MR trial (ongoing).
