Laurie B. Jones, MD, IBCLC, is a Pediatrician and Lactation Consultant at St. Joseph’s Pediatrics at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center. Dr. Jones is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
Dr. Jones' expertise involves well and sick pediatric care, breastfeeding, and teaching. She is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and offers outpatient breastfeeding support at all the regular well visits. She teaches medical students and residents in Breastfeeding Medicine both in the newborn nursery and outpatient setting. She is the medical director of the normal newborn nursery at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
Dr. Jones received her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. She completed her internship and residency in Pediatrics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and served as a fourth year co-chief pediatric resident.
