Dominican Hospital Outpatient Oncology Rehabilitation program includes therapies designed specifically to help cancer patients improve their level of function, decrease fatigue, and reduce pain. Our therapists evaluate and treat each patient on a one-on-one basis, and are committed to helping every patient reach their optimal level of function. We work closely with the patient, their physician, and other clinicians to ensure care is coordinated across the continuum.
Oncology rehabilitation helps fight the fatigue and pain associated with treatment, while improving range of motion and overall function of the affected area. For lymphedema patients, rehabilitation services helps reduce and control swelling that can often occur from treatment. No matter your cancer, our therapists work closely by your side to assist you through and beyond treatment.
“Exercise plays a major role in the recovery of function following treatment, and in reducing the lingering effects of both the disease and its treatment.”
