STOCKTON, January 28, 2020 - Alignment Health Plan, named one of California’s top four insurance companies in 2020 for Medicare Advantage by U.S. News & World Report, announced today that it has added St. Joseph’s Medical Center, a 355-bed regional hospital that is part of the Dignity Health system in San Joaquin County, to its provider network.
Based in Stockton, St. Joseph’s Medical Center is the largest hospital in the county and one of its largest private employers, specializing in cardiovascular care, comprehensive cancer services, and women and children’s services. A Fall 2019 recipient of the Leapfrog Group’s top "A" grade for patient safety, St. Joseph’s is fully accredited by The Joint Commission, which serves to help ensure and monitor the quality and safety of patient care in hospitals and clinics across the country.
Alignment Health Plan, a Medicare Advantage health plan based in Orange serving nearly 62,000 members, earned an overall 4.5- out of 5-star rating in 2020 from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Every year, Medicare evaluates plans based on a 5-star rating.
