Letter from the Chief Fellow

Welcome! I’m proud to serve as the Chief Critical Care Fellow here at St. Joseph’s. Training at St. Joe’s has been an incredibly rewarding experience. The teaching is rich and well-rounded, the environment is warm and welcoming, and from day one, you feel like part of a team that truly has your back.

What sets this place apart is the culture—supportive, collaborative, and refreshingly free of competition. The fellows lift each other up, and our nurses, residents and multidisciplinary teams work seamlessly together. The work is intense, the patients are critically ill, and yes, some days are heavy. But there’s purpose in the weight, and even in the most difficult moments, I still find hope and meaning in what we do.

Our critical care fellowship may be new, but it’s already making a strong mark—with high-acuity pathology, excellent mentorship, and a strong sense of camaraderie. St. Joe’s itself is growing rapidly as a major teaching hub, with expanding residency programs and an energy that’s hard to miss. We’re excited about the future—and even more excited to welcome you to it.
