Rise & Rally fundraiser continues for Arroyo Grande Community Hospital

Campaign runs through 2023 with goal to raise funds for improved diagnostic equipment and private patient rooms

The Arroyo Grande Community Hospital Foundation kicked off its Rise & Rally fundraiser way back on October 8, and the campaign isn’t over yet.

There’s still plenty of time to get involved. Local community members can continue to donate to the fundraising effort until the end of the year. Local benefactor Henry Myers has pledged to match every dollar raised until the end of the year, up to $50,000.

All Rise & Rally donations are being directed to the foundation’s Excellence Campaign, which is a five-year, $7.5-million effort. The funds will be used on diagnostic medical equipment and private patient rooms at Arroyo Grande Community Hospital.

The Excellence Campaign’s goal is to provide the community with a Radiology-Fluoroscopy room to diagnose broken bones and diseases using advanced X-ray technology and to better see internal organs and tissues in order to diagnose and monitor various conditions.

Campaign funds would also purchase a portable digital X-ray machine and also help ensure a dedicated space for MRIs to improve patient comfort and provide better diagnoses.

“Arroyo Grande Community Hospital is truly a community hospital. Our medical staff works around the clock to care for patients in their own backyard,” Vice President of Philanthropy Montisa Phelan Lopez said. “But as a not-for-profit facility, we rely on donations from the public to give our doctors, nurses and clinical staff the tools they need to do their jobs.”
