Navigational Mobile App Launches at Dignity Health Central Coast Hospitals

Arroyo Grande Community Hospital (AGCH), French Hospital Medical Center (FHMC) and Marian Regional Medical Center (MRMC), which are Dignity Health Central Coast hospitals, is pleased to announce the launch of the first hospital way-finding mobile application in Santa Barbara County and San Luis Obispo County.

The Dignity Health Compass app is available for free download at the iPhone Apple Store and Android’s Google Play store.

The wayfinding and informational mobile application, The Dignity Health Compass, is designed to help patients, employees, physicians, volunteers, and the community better navigate through our hospital facilities and connect to useful resources. French Hospital was the first Dignity Health Central Coast hospital to test the new app, and now it’s available for Arroyo Grande Community Hospital and Marian Regional Medical Center. Main features of the app include a variety to tools and information for each Dignity Health hospital:

  • Mapping, navigation, and wayfinding
  • Custom maps and points of interest
  • Department services and information
  • Promotional push notifications
  • Find a Doctor (FAD) online search tool
  • Online Patient Portal

Dignity Health Central Coast has been at the forefront of technological advances in our community as part of our continuing commitment to providing our patients and visitors the best possible experience.

The app uses beacon technology to help ease navigation through each hospital facility. The app also puts a wealth of information at the user’s fingertips, including directions from a patient’s home to the hospital, information on Dignity Health Central Coast physicians, department information, and other resources. In addition to Dignity Health Central Coast, Dignity Health is currently in the process adding all of their 39 hospitals to the application located throughout Arizona, California and Nevada.

“The addition of the Dignity Health Compass mobile app here at Dignity Health Central Coast provides another resource with which we can continue to improve our patient and visitor experience,” says Kerin Mase, MRMC President & CEO. “This app will not only make navigating the hospital easier, it will also ensure our patients and visitors have access to the latest hospital news, information and services.”

Community members can download the free app onto any Apple or Google Android device. Simply go to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, search for the Dignity Health Compass, and continue by downloading our app for free.
