AED Program

French Hospital Medical Center is pleased to partner with the Harold J. Miossi Charitable Trust to offer 20 Automated External Defibrillators (AED) at no cost to eligible businesses/organizations located in the City of San Luis Obispo.

If your business or organization is interested in receiving an AED through this program, please (1) review the below requirements and (2) complete the request form.

Requests will be reviewed and approved on a first-come, first-serve basis.


Program Eligibility Requirements

In order to be eligible to receive an AED through this program, you must meet all of the below requirements:

  1. Must be located in the City of San Luis Obispo, California
  2. Must be either:
    1. A business/organization with more than 100 employees; or
    2. A meeting space that holds more than 100 people
  3. Must not already have an AED on premises


AED Program Terms

French Hospital Medical Center's AED Program only includes the following to selected businesses/organizations:

  1. An AED and related materials 
  2. A wall-mounted AED cabinet
  3. Online AED training for one person in your organization

If your organization is selected to receive an AED through this program, the AED and all components will be shipped directly to you. Upon receipt of the AED, your business/organization takes ownership of the AED and will be fully responsible for the AED, including installation of the cabinet, ongoing AED maintenance, and registration of your AED with PulsePoint and the National Emergency AED Registry.
