With physicians that are leaders in their fields, we combine advanced treatment options with a warm, personalized approach. Additionally, The American Heart/Stroke Association and The Joint Commission have designated Dignity Health Central Coast as Primary Stroke Centers.

Extensive, Cohesive, Team-Centered Stroke Care

The Dignity Health Central Coast Neuroscience Services Stroke Program is unique in that it offers patients a broad continuum of care from Emergency Department treatment to in-house acute rehabilitation.

In order to provide advance, comprehensive care for stroke patients, the stroke team includes:

  • Hospital-based physicians available 24/7 with expertise in stroke diagnosis and emergency treatment
  • Registered nurses available 24/7 with expertise in stroke management 
  • Physical, speech, and occupational therapists
  • Dieticians
  • Case managers and social workers
The team also relies on the excellent services of the Dignity Health pharmacy, Laboratory, and Diagnostic Imaging Department.
