Learn to Make Holiday Meals Good for Your Heart and Diabetes

Healthy Cooking and Tasting: Smart Holiday Choices
St. John’s Regional Medical Center, a Dignity Health hospital, invites community members to our next cooking night. Come join the fun and learn how to prepare delicious holiday meals that are good for your heart and managing diabetes.

Our chef, doctors and nutritionists demonstrate how to cook meals the whole family will enjoy while explaining why they are a healthy choice for heart conditions and managing or preventing diabetes. Sign up for this popular, free event before all the spots are gone! At the end, participants are welcome to taste the prepared food.

Smart Holiday Choices cooking night will be held on Thursday, November 2 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the Conference Center on the Garden Level at St. John’s Regional Medical Center (1600 N. Rose Ave. in Oxnard, CA 93030).

This event is presented by our Community Health Education Department, Food and Nutrition Services, and physicians. Join us by yourself, with your spouse, a friend or family member to learn about cooking that tastes as good as it is for your body!
