Visiting Hours & Guidelines

You are welcome to visit friends and family anytime during the day or night.
The medical team at Mercy Mt. Shasta encourages family and friends to visit because we know how much support that provides to your loved one.

Visiting Hours At Mercy Mt. Shasta

Visits are based on the needs of the patient.We do ask that everyone enter the hospital at the main entrance unless coming for emergency care. If you're showing symptoms of flu or cold, we ask that you call instead, at least until you're no longer contagious. Better yet, send a Get Well Email

The following are hours for specific units within the hospital

  • Emergency Department: Visitors are allowed at the discretion of the staff.
  • Intensive Care: Anytime except for the house of 7 – 8 a.m and 7 – 8 p.m.
  • Maternity: Anytime, with the patient's approval or by staff recommendation.
  • Medical/Surgical: Anytime, with the patient's approval.
Children under the age of 2 aren't allowed to visit.

A Tobacco-Free Campus

We are committed to caring for the health and safety of our patients, visitors, and staff.  Because of this pledge, all hospital buildings and grounds are tobacco-free.

Smoking and use of any tobacco products is prohibited in all areas of the campus, including exterior walkways and parking areas.
