Join us for the 2019 Nurse’s Day Luncheon Symposium. We will celebrate nurses in the North State on Wednesday, May 8th at the Holiday Inn in Redding. Hundreds of nurses have gathered and celebrated over the years and we look forward to continuing this tradition! 

Our Keynote speaker, Carol Huston, MSN, DPA, FAAN, author and Chico State Nursing Professor, will share on Celebrating the Heroes in Nursing - a calling to care/self-less leaders.

We are excited to honor nurses with our Heroes in Nursing Awards. These awards highlight the important role nurses play within the healthcare industry and recognize their countless contributions to our community;

Areas of Recognition

  • Advanced Nursing Practice and Population Health
    Someone who exemplifies outstanding knowledge outside of the hospital setting, throughout the community, in the home, or in emergency service lines, going above and beyond with quality and compassionate care.

    A teacher and educator with a passion to help nurses around them grow in their knowledge of the field and patient care.

  • Exemplary Professional Practice 
    An individual that excels in effective interpersonal relationships, through compassion, leadership, integrity, and professionalism in delivery of care to patients and families.

    An individual that has excelled their career, dedicated to fostering high professional nursing standards, recognizing superior achievement, reaching the top of their profession clinically, and academically.

  • 1:00 pm: Question & Answer Session
  • 1:10 pm: Heroes in Nursing Awards Presented
