Dignity Health Partners with the American Heart Association during Eat Smart Month

The American Heart Association (AHA) has designated November as Eat Smart Month, to encourage setting nutritional goals during the holidays. The month-long campaign is part of the AHA’s new Healthy For Good movement, supported by National Recipe Host Fresh Avocados – Love One Today®, and locally supported by Dignity Health and Western Health Advantage. As part of the campaign, the AHA will provide nutrition tips and healthy recipes throughout the month.

Dignity Health providers were featured during two in-studio television segments last week as part of the Eat Smart Month campaign.

On November 1, Tracy Toms, registered dietitian at Dignity Health, was in-studio at ABC 10, where she talked about healthy smoothies that are easy to make at home for Eat Smart Month.
