A Dynamic & Well-Rounded Training Experience

Our program offers a robust and diverse clinical curriculum, balancing high-acuity inpatient medicine with comprehensive ambulatory care:

Inpatient Training: Residents will train in the heart of the hospital at Mercy San Juan Medical Center, where they will be exposed to a wide spectrum of pathology, high-complexity cases, and innovative treatment approaches.
Outpatient Rotations: Residents will rotate through Dignity Health Medical Foundation clinics, gaining invaluable experience in primary care as well as key internal medicine subspecialties, ensuring a well-rounded foundation in ambulatory medicine.
Subspecialty Exposure: Through strategic partnerships with renowned specialists, our residents will gain hands-on experience across a diverse array of disciplines, preparing them for any career path, whether in primary care, hospital medicine, or fellowship training.
Advanced Simulation Training: Our program integrates cutting-edge medical education through a collaboration with our state-of-the-art Clinical Learning Center, where residents will engage in high-fidelity simulation training, procedural workshops, and crisis management scenarios to refine critical skills in a risk-free learning environment.

Each program year consists of 13 - 4 week blocks.
