Volunteering is a labor of love. Whether delivering flowers, assisting visitors, or helping patients it is a service from the heart.

Volunteers are an integral part of the staff at Methodist Hospital. We offer two volunteer programs: one at Methodist Hospital and one at Bruceville Terrace. Our volunteers include teens, college students, working adults, and retirees. The purpose of serving is to extend extra non-clinical care and compassion to all people who enter our doors.

Benefits of volunteering include: meeting new people, making new friends, developing professional contacts and gaining a sense of personal satisfaction from helping others. More importantly, volunteers are vital to our patients, visitors and staff.

Many volunteers serve 3 to 4-hour shifts once a week; others serve more often. Volunteer assignments depend on areas of interest and availability. Please view the information in the downloads above for the volunteer service and the descriptions and the links to the applications. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our volunteer services program at 916-423-6117 or email [email protected].
