Mercy San Juan Medical Center does not maintain official “visiting hours” for the entire hospital; in fact, we encourage loved ones to visit as often as possible to help with healing and recovery. Nearly all of our units allow loved ones to visit at any time of day; however, some of our units maintain preferred visiting times and have unit-specific visitation policies. Please check with the unit you are visiting to determine the best time for your visit.
A photo ID is mandatory for any visitor in the hospital after 9 p.m. and is required at all times for visitors in the Family Birth Center.
Around-the-clock patient and visitor parking is available free of charge in the parking garage, located on the medical center campus.
The Mercy Café is located on campus for the convenience of hospital visitors and staff. The Café is on the lower level and is open from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Hot meals are served from 6:30 to 10:15 a.m. for breakfast, 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. for lunch and 5 to 7 p.m. for dinner. Vending machines are available 24 hours a day.
Located in the lobby at the main entrance of the hospital, the Mercy San Juan Gift Shop is operated by the Mercy San Juan Guild. It is open each day. Please call (916) 537-5290 for hours of service.
Due to privacy concerns, employees and visitors are requested to exercise responsibility and restrict their use of unauthorized personal cameras (including camera cell phones and Webcams on laptop computers) and other unauthorized recording devices in the hospital. Under no circumstances should pictures or recordings be made of patients, employees, family or visitors without their express permission.
In concert with our health care mission, Mercy San Juan Medical Center is a smoke-free environment. Our priority is creating an enhanced healing environment for our patients and reducing the health risks associated with smoking for all individuals who work at and visit our facility. Being smoke-free means smoking is prohibited throughout the facility and on the grounds, which includes all exterior walkways and parking areas.
