Support groups and connectivity with peer navigators provide patients and caregivers a sense of community, allowing them to share the experience with others who have traveled a similar journey to survivorship

Oncology-Certified Dietitian

As part of the integrative oncology program, Dignity Health Cancer Institute’s oncology dietitian provides medical nutrition therapy to optimize the nutritional status of patients undergoing treatment. Medical nutrition therapy has been shown to improve treatment tolerance, reduce treatment interruptions, decrease weight loss, improve survival, and maximize quality of life. The dietitian also provides nutrition education to patients in survivorship.
