Dignity Health’s oncology services brings together a team of health care professionals specially trained in the identification and treatment of cancer to ensure you get the information and care you need every step of the way.
At the Dignity Health Cancer Institute of Greater Sacramento, our multidisciplinary team approach to care includes diagnostic, treatment and support services to ensure the best treatment plan for cancer patients. Our team features a wide variety of board-certified cancer specialists, specially trained nurses, on-site pharmacists, social workers, chaplains, palliative care specialists, nutritional experts and support staff. They work in concert—consulting, collaborating, and maintaining open lines of communication—to maximize effectiveness in treating even the most complex cases.
Every week, our Cancer Conferences allow our physicians and staff to review patients’ cases and reach consensus on treatment recommendations. This collaborative process ensures the best possible care for our patients.
Our nurse navigators are your personal guides to cancer care, from your diagnosis through treatment and follow up. Learn more about nurse navigators.
Our commitment to treating the whole patient means providing nurturing support throughout the entire process. Our complementary services play a valuable role in Dignity Health's holistic approach. Learn more about our classes and support groups.
