The American Heart Association's guidelines for preventing heart disease reinforce an important fact that all women should know: Preventing, diagnosing and treating heart disease is very different if you are a woman.

 

That's why we created our Heart Shaped Community, a program at Dignity Health Heart and Vascular Institute of Greater Sacramento that helps women incorporate activities and techniques in their daily lives to maintain a healthy lifestyle. This is the first step to becoming heart healthy.
