Recognize

Recognizing and understanding the warning signs of heart disease is key. This is especially true for women, who often experience heart disease differently than men.

Increasing knowledge, awareness and research is reducing how many women die from heart disease, yet it continues to be the number one killer of women in the United States. Women need to know their risk factors and they need to be able to quickly recognize and react to symptoms in themselves and in those they love.

Dignity Health Heart and Vascular Institute has a variety of resources and tools to help you recognize the signs.
