Dr. Nat’e Guyton, RN, MSN, NE-BC, CPHIMS, came to California Hospital Medical Center from University of Maryland Medical Center-Midtown Campus where she served Chief Nurse Officer, Vice President for Patient Care Services, and Hospital Executive for Laboratory Services at the University of Maryland Medical Center-Downtown Campus. Dr. Guyton has more than 22 years’ experience in health care, having also served as Chief Nurse Officer at Spok, Inc., Chief Clinical Informatics Officer at Trinity Health-Mercy Health System; Chief Nurse Officer at Mercy Suburban Hospital, both in Pennsylvania; Senior Director of Nursing Operations at St. Francis Hospital in Delaware; and Nurse Manager of cardiac transplant and telemetry at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pa.
Dr. Guyton is also a certified critical care nurse holding Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in nursing from Widener University, a Post Master’s certificate in healthcare administration from Villanova University, a Post Master’s certificate in healthcare informatics from Drexel University, and a Doctorate in management with a concentration in organization development from the University of Phoenix.
She is also a member of the American Nursing Informatics Association, the American College of Healthcare Executives and the American Organization of Nurse Executives.
