Sam is an exciting new member to the CHMC and Dignity family. New to CHMC since August 2022, he brings a long history of knowledge and experience in Spiritual Care and Mission. Sam spent 15 years with Providence where he developed into a leader at the local, regional and system level. There he established multiple practices and protocols that would help advance the care of patients through the work of chaplains. He held multiple manager roles including Providence Saint John’s Medical Center, Holy Cross Medical Center, and St. Joseph Medical Center (most recently managing both the latter two medical centers).
With wonderful mentors, support, and experience, Sam is well equipped to help integrate the CommonSpirit mission into the fabric of the CHMC community. Mission is the driving force and the greatest influence into our daily lives. Sam hopes to further guide the CHMC family to internalize the Mission more, so it can more freely be externalized and experienced by the vulnerable we serve.
