Brigeli Westerband, MD, Named Chief of Staff at Dignity Health – Glendale Memorial Hospital
As Chief of Staff, Dr. Westerband begins a two-year term January 1, 2019. In her role, she is charged with enforcing the medical staff bylaws, rules and regulations, and will keep the Medical Staff up to date on changes at the nonprofit, acute care hospital.

Board Certified in both Emergency and Internal Medicine, Dr. Westerband ran her private practice before joining Glendale Memorial Hospital’s Medical Staff 20 years ago. She’s served as Medical Director for both FirstMed Ambulance and AmbuLife Transport, and has been Glendale Memorial Hospital’s Emergency Department Medical Director since 2005.
Dr. Westerband belongs to several professional societies: She is a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians; a member of the American Association of Physician Specialists, and an examiner of the Oral Board of Emergency Medicine.
