Temporary Visitor Restrictions

A Notice to our Visitors:

All visitors are required to provide proof of a negative COVID test taken within the last 72 hours, or proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before visiting anyone in our care. Learn more

Please help us protect our patients and care staff.

Dignity Health believes families are an important part of the healing process, however, to ensure the continued safety and well-being of our patients, visitors, staff, and physicians, Glendale Memorial Hospital has made the important decision to restrict visitation. A screening process is also taking place upon entrance. Any visitor with a fever, cough, or other signs of illness will not be allowed to visit until healthy. Please review the information below regarding visiting patients.

Family and friends are allowed to visit under these guidelines:

  • No visitors to inpatient areas including medical-surgical units, telemetry units, behavioral health unit, critical care unit and acute rehabilitation unit
  • No children under the age of 14
  • Only one healthy visitor for patients in labor and delivery and postpartum units
  • Only one healthy adult visitor for patients in the neonatal intensive care unit

Exceptions to this policy may be made for patients in extraordinary circumstances. Any patient that is under observation or has tested positive for COVID-19 will not be allowed visitors.

Please DO NOT enter the hospital if you have:

1. Had any of the following symptoms within the last 10 days:

a. Fever (at or above 100.4°F or 38°C)
b. Chills
c. Cough
d. Shortness of breath/difficulty

2. Had contact with a person known to be infected with or suspected to have COVID-19 within the last 10 days.

3. Been subject to a quarantine or isolation order.

Employees and visitors must wear a hospital supplied face mask that covers the nose and mouth at all times.

All visitors must be ready to present the following at check-in:

• Your first and last name
• First and last name of the patient you are visiting

Photography and recording are prohibited without permission.

We value the privacy of our patients, visitors and staff. By law, we are required to put safeguards in place to protect all privacy. You may be asked to stop recording at the request of our hospital staff. Visual images solely for the personal use of the patient may be made by the patient or legal guardian in patient rooms at the discretion of the attending physician. However, hospital staff may not be included, unless the staff member has given his or her expressed permission.
