Serving the Community
At Glendale Memorial Hospital visitation is permitted 24-hours-a-day according to the patient's preference and consent. We may limit your time visiting based on the discretion of the physician, Charge nurse, nurse manager or administrative supervisor, in consideration of the patient's condition, emotional status, and other related issues. If visitation needs to be restricted due to the patient's clinical condition, you will be told the reason for such restriction.
Visitation privileges are not restricted, limited or otherwise denied on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex gender identity, sexual orientation, or disability.
General Inpatient Units
So that patients may rest, visitors are encouraged to visit between 11:00 a.m and 8:00 p.m. Due to the size of our rooms, a maximum of four visitors can be in a two-bed room at any one time.
Critical Care Center (Heart Center - 4th Floor)
Visiting hours are 24-hours-per-day based upon the clinical condition and needs of the patient. Due to the size of the rooms, only two (2) visitors are allowed at any one time.
We encourage limited visitation between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m., and
6:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
Labor & Delivery
Only those visitors identified by the patient may be allowed in the L & D suite. And only one support person may stay overnight if the patient is in a private room.
Postpartum Visiting Hours
So that patients may rest and mothers may bond with their newborn, visitors are encouraged to visit between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
Based on information to be discussed and the privacy rights of all patients, visitors may be asked not to visit during nursing report at change of shift. Anyone entering the NICU must be free of any symptoms of illness or infection.
Parent(s)/Legal guardian(s) will be the only person(s) to be given specific information about the infant, including over the telephone. Telephone inquiries are permitted 24 hours daily. To protect the privacy and security of all infants in the unit, visitors must be accompanied by a parent.
Access to the treatment areas is restricted; visitation will be permitted when it is determined to be clinically appropriate by physicians, nurses and staff.
Visitors are encouraged to visit after 4:00 p.m. when patients have completed their therapy sessions. Due to privacy and safety issues, visiting during therapy sessions is discouraged unless arranged by or with permission from the treating therapist. Individual educational/training appointments will be made with family/support persons prior to the patient's discharge.
