The Health Education Center at Community Hospital of San Bernardino offers several classes and workshops for adults who want to take control of their diabetes.

Diabetes Education and Empowerment Program (DEEP) 

The Diabetes Self-Management workshops are given 2 hours once a week for six weeks. Topics include:

  • Techniques to control diabetes
  • Risk factors for diabetes
  • Testing: Criteria for diagnosis
  • Let's Get Moving
  • Health eating
  • Diabetes complications
  • Appropriate use of medications
  • Diabetes and depression

Wednesdays, January 17 – February 21
Español: 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Thursdays, January 18 – March 1 (No Class on February 22)
English: 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Location: Baby and Family Center, 403 E. Highland Ave. San Bernardino, CA 92404
