Northridge Hospital’s classes and support groups feature experts who educate the community on how to maintain optimal health and prevent injuries and illnesses. Topics include cancer, heart, diabetes, women’s health, children’s health, prenatal care and nutrition.
All classes and support groups are free. Registration is required by calling the number provided. All classes take place at Northridge Hospital Medical Center (18300 Roscoe Blvd., Northridge, CA 91328) unless noted.
Healthy Lifestyles is a free year-long grant-funded program of Dignity Health - Northridge Hospital’s Center for Healthier Communities to put prevention first and help you learn how to better take care of yourself. We invite you to participate if you have any of the following conditions: pre-diabetes, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure or stroke.
You will learn how to manage your condition, improve outcomes, and prevent setbacks in your recovery. Joining Healthy Lifestyles will be one of the best things you can do for yourself this year.

The 6-week Diabetes Empowerment Education Program encourages lifestyle changes while learning about your diabetes and the way it affects your health, and earning you the benefits of a healthier, more energetic lifestyle.

Activate Your Heart is an 8-week long community program to help you reach your healthy lifestyle goals. Classes include cardiovascular health education and stress management.

Following each of the above classes, a free 60-minute Grocery Store tour will be conducted to teach you how to navigate the market and identify healthier food options.

Attend this free pre-operative education class to learn more about knee and hip replacement surgery and get your questions answered.
Every Monday from 2 – 4 p.m. in classroom 6.
Refreshments and parking validation will be provided.
