The good news is that Hands-Only CPR has been shown to be as effective as conventional CPR for sudden cardiac arrest at home, at work or in public and can double or event triple a person’s chance of survival.

Many people think a heart attack is sudden and intense, like a "movie" heart attack, where a person clutches his or her chest and falls over. It can be very different, and symptoms can vary for men and women. If you are experiencing any of the heart attack symptoms described, don't delay! Aortic heart valve replacement with TAVR

The Northridge Hospital Cardiovascular Center is one of the select providers in the country to offer patients a minimally invasive procedure for heart valve replacement. Called Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), the procedure allows for valve replacement without opening a patient’s chest. WATCHMAN™ alternative to blood thinners for those with non-valvular AFib

Northridge Hospital is pleased to be the first provider in the San Fernando Valley to offer patients WATCHMAN™, a one-time, minimally-invasive procedure for those with non-valvular AFib who need an alternative to taking blood thinners. The procedure allows the placement of the WATCHMAN device (implant) into a patient’s heart to permanently reduce the risk from blood clots forming in the heart which could lead to a stroke. Electrophysiology

Electrophysiology (EP) is the science of diagnosing and treating electrical activities of the heart, or heart rhythm disorders. Doctors specializing in EP treat irregular heartbeats that are the result of abnormal electrical impulses that cause the heart to beat too quickly, too slowly, or irregularly. Learn more about Electrophysiology.
