Cancer Screening

According to the American Cancer Society, more than one million people in the United States are diagnosed with cancer annually. Regular cancer screening for early detection is the best treatment, so talk to your doctor about your personal risk factors and which screenings you should have done.

Screening Recommendations

Regular screenings are an integral part of the cancer services offered by Dignity Health. The American Cancer Society recommends screening for many cancer types, for men and women, at all different ages.

If you think you’re at high risk for a particular type of cancer, talk to your doctor. They may advise you to be tested earlier or more often. Your doctor can also work with you to make lifestyle changes that might lower your risk of certain cancers.
