Healthy baby girl arrives quickly on New Year's Day to proud parents

CENTRAL COAST, CA – January 1, 2021 – French Hospital Medical Center welcomed its first baby of the year, a healthy baby girl named Emmie Rafaela Hernandez. She arrived quickly at 1:11 p.m. on New Year’s Day weighing eight pounds and at 20.5 inches long.

Baby’s mother, Christina Sanchez and father Julio Hernandez are overjoyed with their new bundle of joy. Emmie is the third daughter for the couple, who are also parents to Myla and Mia Hernandez.

Nurses at French Hospital’s Stollmeyer Birthing Center presented mom, dad, and baby with a beautiful gift basket filled with goodies and essentials for the sweet bundle of joy.

“We are grateful to have the first baby of the year at French Hospital,” says Christina. “The great thing about babies is that they are like little bundles of hope; like the future in a basket.”

Mom and baby are healthy and recovering tonight at the hospital.
