Posted in:
The French Hospital Medical Center (FHMC) Foundation is pleased to announce that the Hearst Cancer Resource Center (HCRC) was the recent recipient of a donation from Cancer Connections, a local grassroots organization that supports newly diagnosed cancer patients.

Volunteers at Cancer Connections celebrated the tenth birthday of the organization by donating to the HCRC’s Angel of Hope Fund. Cancer Connections provides individualized support for those diagnosed with cancer and their caregivers.  All volunteers of Cancer Connections have had cancer or have supported others dealing with cancer and are willing to share their personal experience to help others at no cost, and in complete confidentiality.

The HCRC Angel of Hope Fund, supported by community donations, provides immediate financial assistance for basic medical needs of cancer patients in treatment and their families. Financial assistance enables HCRC clients to maintain their cancer treatments without interruption by helping those facing financial hardship due to increasing health care costs and other expenses.

Cancer Connections and the HCRC partner to offer free resources and a support network for those diagnosed with cancer and their families.
