Recognized nationally, the Copeland, Forbes & Rossi Cardiac Care Center is home to San Luis Obispo County’s leading heart care specialists. Opened in 2007, the Cardiac Care Center includes expert emergency staff, the best heart specialists and surgeons, and state-of-the-art surgical suites. Exceptional outcomes and treatment have led to French Hospital becoming a nationally recognized cardiac hospital, including previously being named one of the Top 50 Cardiovascular Hospitals in the nation by Truven Health Analytics. 

 In 2014, the George Hoag Family Advanced Cardiac Hybrid Surgical Suite became the first of its kind on the Central Coast, thanks to generous support from the George Hoag Family Foundation. 

In 2025, the hospital unveiled two new cardiac catheterization labs, equipped with advanced technology rivaling that found in top metropolitan hospitals. The new cath labs allow the hospital to provide top-tier cardiac care, keeping patients close to home.
