Acute Care Nursery

French Hospital Medical Center offers advanced neonatal care for the tiniest of patients at the Stollmeyer Family Birthing Center. The center’s Acute Care Nursery offers bedside neonatal nursing staff, neonatologists, anesthesiologists, and an onsite neonatal resuscitation team to stabilize babies born near term.

As a part of the perinatal program at the Stollmeyer Birthing Center, neonates born at the facility at approximately 32 weeks and above receive additional support after birth, including: oxygen therapy, intravenous therapy, transitional care, and long-term care, if needed.  In order to best support our birthing patients, neonatal respiratory therapists and highly skilled nurses specializing in neonatal care attend every delivery, providing an added layer of safety for both mom and baby after birth.

In addition to these vital neonatal services, it also increases services for new moms, as we now serve insulin dependent diabetics.  At the Stollmeyer Family Birthing Center, keeping new moms and babies together is the primary goal.  The addition of these services further allows us to ensure the safety and care of both.

The comprehensive team of obstetricians, neonatal nurses, neonatologists, and medical staff at the Stollmeyer Family Birthing Center has the training and expertise to guide you through the labor and delivery process.
