Breast Health

Breast cancer can be frightening, and that’s why we provide the very best in compassionate care. Early detection is the key to fighting the disease. Women ages 40 years and older are encouraged to have annual mammogram screenings, as recommended by the American Cancer Society.

For Your Health

The Women’s Health and Imaging Center has several diagnostic tests available to ensure that you will receive optimal breast health care.

Mammography remains the single best method for the detection of breast cancer. Digital mammography equipment is safe and uses the lowest dosage of radiation possible.

Breast ultrasound, also known as sonography, is sometimes used to evaluate breast abnormalities that are found with mammography or a physical examination. We use only the best high-resolution, real-time equipment and color-flow Doppler.

Stereotactic breast biopsy is among the most advanced technologies available, should a more specific diagnosis of an abnormality be necessary. The procedure is quick, precise, comfortable, minimally invasive and the recovery time is short and with minimal scarring.

The Women’s Health and Imaging Center’s mammography program is accredited by the American College of Radiology and the State of California Department of Health Services. Our doctors are board certified and specially trained in sophisticated diagnostic procedures, and our registered technologists are highly qualified in mammography.
