Welcome to the Mercy Redding Family Practice Residency Program
In addition to our core faculty, we have 112 volunteer community faculty with UC Davis clinical faculty appointments including the specialties of allergy/immunology, cardiology, psychiatry, dermatology, emergency medicine, ENT, internal medicine, neurology, OB/GYN, ophthalmology, orthopedic surgery, pediatrics, plastic surgery, general surgery, and urology.
Located in beautiful Northern California and surrounded by almost 33,000 square miles of mountains, lakes and rivers. Mercy Medical Center provides a unique opportunity for students to obtain family practice clerkships where family medicine is alive and well! Clerkships at the Mercy Redding Family Practice Residency Program are offered to 4th year medical students (or third year students who have completed their core in-patient rotations in OB, Pediatrics, Medicine and Surgery), who are currently enrolled in a school approved by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education, or the American Osteopathic Association.
Nestled at the base of incredible mountain ranges that flank its western, northern and eastern borders, the city of Redding is home to over 93,000 people and is the largest population center in far Northern California.
