Why this program: After auditioning at this program as a medical student, I quickly realized this is the best type of place to train in FM. It is truly unopposed and you have the opportunity to be directly involved in every rotation.  The underserved patient population will challenge you to become a competent provider. The faculty are diverse and experienced. Redding is much more affordable than nearby cities and gives a high quality of life throughout residency. Outdoor activities are a definite highlight with multiple neighboring lakes and over 200 miles of local trails.

Interests within Family Medicine: Sports medicine, sleep medicine, nutritional medicine
