Faculty

Dr. Holt

Faculty
MD, Loma Linda University
BS, Westmont College

Dr. Holt credits being born and raised in Hawaii to a very loving family for much of what drew him to family medicine: a love and respect for people in all their diverse beauty along with a desire to grow and understand more than simply be understood. From these island roots he expanded to the “mainland” of Southern California for post-secondary education. He attended Westmont College in Santa Barbara where he obtained his BS in Chemistry and he went to Loma Linda University for medical school. He then headed to Northern California to complete residency at Methodist Hospital of Sacramento. During this time he learned about the beauty of this area of far Northern California. After several years as a hospitalist, he realized that his impact in medicine and this world could be much greater and broader through training the next generation of physicians than just caring for his own patients. With this revelation, he excitedly joined on as Faculty at Mercy Redding in 2018. He enjoys seeing the amazing transformation of residents over just 3 years of training.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, 3 young children, & pets in the outdoors as much as possible.
