Dr. Perry

Director of Geriatrics and Internal Medicine
MD, University of Alabama School of Medicine
BA, Duke University

Dr. Perry grew up in Alexandria, Virginia, and finished high school in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She attended Duke University and obtained an AB with Honors in History (History of Medicine). She attended the University of Alabama School of Medicine and completed Internal Medicine at the University of Arizona. She then joined the staff at the Tucson VA while her sweetheart finished Pathology.  

Dr. Perry followed him to Redding in 1986, and worked with Dr. Coe in his second year of residency at Shasta General Hospital! She became board-certified in Geriatrics and continues to function as both an internist and geriatrician with the program. Dr. Perry was the first female Chief of Staff at Mercy and has remained active in the medical staff.  She also works closely with Mercy Hospice and is the Medical Director for Mercy Home Care and the Connected Living Adult Day Health Care.

Her personal interests include running, biking, skiing, reading, cooking (especially baking) and travel. She and her husband have a daughter and a son, both of whom live and work in Oregon.
