Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are operating under temporary, more restrictive visitor guidelines. Click here for details.

Visitors chosen by the patient or their representative are welcomed at Woodland Memorial Hospital and will be allowed to enjoy full and equal visitation privileges consistent with the wishes of the patient. You may designate an individual to be with you for emotional support during the course of your stay, unless the individual's presence infringes on others' rights, safety, or is medically or therapeutically contraindicated. Children should be supervised by a responsible adult when they come visit you.

Visitors may be restricted from entering your room or asked to leave for specific medically appropriate circumstances (care interventions), patient safety, infection control, and/org confidentiality reasons determined by the primary care fiver. Our primary concern is for your care. We may ask your visitors to leave if we feel you need more rest.

In the Family Birthing Center, the hour after delivery and/or surgery is considered the "Golden Hour", no visitors, with exception of infant parent(s), will be allowed during this time, to allow for safe recovery and maternal/child bonding. This is part of our "Baby Friendly" Initiative. We highly recommend that no visiting is encouraged and the infant is kept skin to skin with mother for the first four hours, per patient preference.

The Inpatient Mental Health Unit has special policies for visitations; please ask the staff for more information in regards to this department.

Please discourage potential visitors with contagious illnesses or respiratory infections from visiting you. Hand sanitizer is available for frequent use to keep patients/family/guests safe. In addition, children who have been exposed to any childhood illness or rashes should not be encouraged to visit.

The front door of the hospital is closed and locked at 8 p.m. daily. Visitors and others may exit through these doors, but all incoming individuals are directed to the Outpatient/Emergency Services door located on the north side of the hospital.

The cafeteria menu features house-made recipes, wholesome alternative options and a variety of freshly prepared goods for our patients and visiting friends and family.

We offer breakfast and lunch as well as a variety of beverages, light options and snacks.  Our spacious cafeteria is conveniently located on the first floor of the hospital. In addition to the large seating area for dining, the cafeteria features a hot grill station, salad and sandwich bar, and an outdoor courtyard area for families, guests and employees.
