Jonathan Frankman, DO | Oakland, CA | Medical School: Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine
Dr. Frankman enjoys practicing full spectrum family medicine and plans to start his own practice which embodies his mission of helping the underserved by opening a multifaceted practice integrating adult primary care, behavioral health, and more. His interests within medicine include integrative medicine, behavioral health, outpatient primary care, preventative medicine, and substance abuse. Dr. Frankman enjoys anything outdoors, hitting local dive bars, and weekend road trips.
Dr. Golden grew up playing soccer and running the east foothills of San Jose, CA. Prior to starting medical school, she owned and operated her own massage therapy practice. Dr. Golden enjoys the outdoors, cooking, volunteering and spending time with her husband and family. She is excited to expand her training at CHMC.
Dr. Grigoryan dreamed of becoming a doctor since a young age. She plans to become more involved in the community and wants to take advantage of every learning opportunity. Outside of work, she likes being outdoors, going on scenic hikes, running, going to the beach, and most of all spending time with her family and friends.
Shery Mokhtare, MD| Irvine, CA | Medical School: Ross University School of Medicine
Dr. Mokhtare was inspired by primary care during medical school with an interest towards reproductive health. She had many experiences that influenced her desire to help the underserved and chose CHMC for its diverse patient population, friendly community, strong sense of camaraderie with the faculty, staff and fellow residents. Outside of medicine, she enjoys trips to historic sites and exploring different cultures around the world.
Sandra Morcos, MD | Southern California | Medical School: Ross University School of Medicine
Dr. Morcos is very excited to be back in Los Angeles after medical school where she has the opportunity to work in the community she grew up in. She is passionate about working with the underserved and look forward to getting involved with the community. She is interested in inpatient medicine and look forward to learning from the attendings, staff and patients at CHMC. During her free time, she enjoys traveling, the beach and experiencing new adventures!
Rena Muni, MD |Fremont, CA | Medical School: Ross University School of Medicine
Dr. Muni is eager to help the local underserved population. While from Northern California, she is excited to help the diverse, multicultural population in downtown LA and call LA her home. During her free time, she likes to hike, travel, and try her hand at preparing exotic dishes from all around the globe.
Angelina Nieto-Rodriguez, MD | Palmdale, CA | Medical School: University of Southern California
Coming from an immigrant family, Dr. Nieto-Rodriguez became heavily involved in Latino Medical Student Association during medical school. She thoroughly enjoyed giving back to the Latino community and mentoring pre-med students. Her goal as a resident physician is to become a doctor that can provide culturally competent care to patients from underserved community.
Dr. Raine’s passion for family medicine grew when he volunteered for social services in a small rural community after completing an internship in Minnesota, where he was first exposed to the US healthcare system. He developed his understanding of the diverse needs of the underserved populations throughout the UCLA IMG program. He hopes he will be a valuable asset to this community.
Our faculty strives to live up to their reputation of being the most supportive and approachable, while teaching residents to treat a diverse, underserved patient population. We focus on training outstanding, balanced residents, in a hospital and outpatient environment dedicated to teamwork, community service, work/life balance and physician wellness. Residents cite our faculty as the highlight of the program and the reason they came here.
