Digestive issues or problems?

At St. Mary Medical Center, we treat all aspects of digestive illnesses and disease.

Gastroenterology

Our gastrointestinal laboratory is a fully functioning diagnostic and interventional department with a specialty in esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD), endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), and colonoscopy.

ERCP

Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) enables the physician to diagnose problems in the liver, gallbladder, bile ducts, and pancreas.

EGD

Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) is an examination of the lining of the esophagus, stomach, and upper duodenum with a small camera (flexible endoscope) which is inserted down the throat.

Colonoscopy

This is an endoscopic examination of the colon and the distal part of the small bowel with a camera or a fiber optic camera on a flexible tube. It may provide a visual diagnosis (ulcers, polyps) and grants the opportunity for biopsy or removal of suspected lesions.

Our Laboratory

The Gastrointestinal Services Laboratory is open to outpatient appointments Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
