Trauma Recovery Center

St. Mary Medical Center is pleased to be affiliated with the Long Beach Trauma Recovery Center.

The Long Beach Trauma Recovery Center was founded by California State University, Long Beach to address barriers to mental health services in diverse communities and seeks to improve the daily lives of people affected by violence, crime, and trauma by providing them with no-cost comprehensive services and linkages to individualized assistance.

Services include:

  • Outreach and education services
  • Clinical evaluations
  • Individual therapy for victims and survivors of trauma
  • Crisis intervention
  • Group therapy services
  • Family/couples therapy (trauma related)
  • Psychiatric medication consultation/follow up
  • Culturally appropriate, Comprehensive Case Management Services

Individualized assistance to linkages for:

  • Physical health issues
  • Housing/relocation/school services
  • Legal issues
  • Food
  • Employment
  • Emergency Assistance

Services at the Long Beach Trauma Recovery Center are provided by clinicians and advanced graduate students, specializing in Social Work and Marriage/Family Counseling, who are under the direct supervision of faculty in the CSULB College of Education.
