Spiritual Care Services

As a service to patients and their families, St. Bernardine Medical Center provides spiritual support for all faiths and spiritual traditions.

Our mission at St. Bernardine Medical Center is to complete your physical care with the spiritual care you desire. Our interfaith chaplains are available to assist you in counsel and prayer.

Reasons for requesting a chaplain may include the need for spiritual counsel, someone to listen to you, prayer, sacraments, spiritual resources, or connecting you to someone from your specific faith tradition, should you desire. The St. Bernardine Medical Center Chapel is available 24 hours a day for all visitors and guests and serves as a quiet space for prayer, meditation, and reflection.

The Hospital Chapel is located just off the main lobby and elevator area. Patients and visitors are welcome to visit the chapel at any time for silent prayer and meditation.

The Catholic Mass and Eucharist are celebrated Monday through Friday at noon. Mass on Saturday and Sunday is celebrated at 8:00 a.m.

Non-Denominational Spiritual Care
Patients with special spiritual requests should ask their nurse or case manager to contact the hospital chaplain for assistance.
